Selina Shida Hack born and raised in Queens, New York. She began her dance training at the Professional Performing Arts School/The Ailey School where she performed works by Adrienne Hurd, Pedro Ruiz, Tina Bush, and Lisa Attles. She went on to graduate cum laude with a BFA in Dance Performance from State University of New York at Purchase College, where she performed works by Kimberly Bartosik, Sidra Bell, Martha Graham, Manuel Vignouelle, and Kate Wallich. While at Purchase, Selina was chosen to study abroad for a semester at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong where she studied under Christine Gouzelis, Pewan Chow, Tasha Wong, and performed a work by Jaime Redfern. Selina was also selected to be featured in the music video "Stereotypes" by Black Violin in 2015.

She has danced for companies such as, Zest Collective and Nomad Contemporary Ballet. Ms. Hack has attended intensives at Ballet Hispanico, Dance Theater of Harlem, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, and The Ailey School. Selina joined VALLETO in September 2017.
