Lindsay Jorgensen
(She/Her)
Lindsay Jorgensen (Lawrenceville, NJ) is a NYC-based performing artist, teacher, and choreographer. She has performed with Ballet Nepantla, Buglisi Dance Theatre, American Repertory Ballet, and Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater. Theatre credits include SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Ensemble, Dance Captain/APAC), GREASE (Cha Cha/APAC), THE PROM (Swing, Assoc. Choreo/APAC), EVITA (Assoc. Choreo/APAC). Her poetry was featured at APAP and Women/Create, and her choreography was showcased at Bell Works and Ailey Citigroup Theatre. Jorgensen is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham B.F.A. Dance Program, where she graduated summa cum laude with a departmental honors in Dance. She holds a dual degree in Dance and English, and a graduate certificate in Creative Writing from University of Pennsylvania.
Abigail Linnemeyer
Abigail Linnemeyer (she/they) is a Brooklyn based freelance performer, choreographer and dance activist. She has a passion for improvisation, partner work, athleticism, and her queer identity inspires her desire for queerness in dance spaces and her focus on gender in process, performance, and community outreach. She is currently working with m i c c a, Michelle Thompson Ulerich, Kinesis Project Dance Theatre, and is excited to be joining Valleto as a collaborator. In recent years, she has performed under Johnnie Cruise Mercer/TheREDprojectNYC, Kayla Farrish, Heather Dutton, Elizabeth Dishman, Megan Flynn, Natalie Gotter, Grounded Aerial, and was part of Dance/NYC’s Committee. Since moving to NY in 2021 Abigail has performed at notable venues such as BAM Fisher, 92nd St Y, Center for Performance Research, Flushing Town Hall, HERE Arts Center, Dixon Place, Arts on Site, and House of Yes.
Alex Schmidt
(she/her)
Alex Schmidt’s pursuit of dance began at an early age at a studio in Tampa, FL. She spent her first three years of high school attending Next Generation Ballet’s trainee program, under the direction of Peter Stark. During her senior year of high school, Alex moved to San Francisco where she graduated from the two-year Alonzo King LINES Ballet training program in 2017. She currently lives in New York where she is a dancer, choreographer, creator, and teacher. Alex is a dance artist with Michiyaya Dance Company, VALLETO, Project Tag, and co-founder of TWO IN SEVEN BILLION. She also is a freelance dancer and choreographer and enjoys creating her own work and performances. Alex graduated from the University of Florida in May of 2020, with degrees in Criminology and Psychology that she completed while in the LINES training program. In summer of 2023, Alex finished her Master’s in Forensic Psychology with certification in Victimology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. She recently started working with Rehabilitation Through The Arts, where she teaches dance classes inside maximum security prisons in New York.
Ashton Atteberry
(They/Them)
Ashton Atteberry (They/Them) is a freelance contemporary dancer based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from North Carolina, Ashton began their formal dance training in the high school contemporary dance program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. After continuing into the college, they graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. While at UNCSA, they performed pieces by Robyn Mineko Williams, Larry Keigwin, Shen Wei and Martha Graham. Ashton has continued their dance training by attending international dance workshops including the One Body, One Career CounterTechnique intensive, the B12 summer dance workshop, the ImPulsTanz international dance festival and the Kyoto International Dance Workshop Festival. Since moving to NYC they have performed works with JKing Dance Company, Catherine Tharin and have worked on other projects with friends.
Lucia Tozzi
(she/her)
Lucia Tozzi (she/her) was born and raised in New York City and started her dance training with National Dance Institute under the tutelage of Jacques d’Amboise. She continued her training at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens (NY), and at The Ailey School. In 2020 she graduated with a BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase. During her time at Purchase, Lucia performed works by Pina Bausch, Ohad Naharin, Joseph Hernandez, Luke Murphy, and others. In 2019 she studied abroad at the Beijing Dance Academy in China, training in contemporary dance forms and composition. She supplemented her training with courses through B12 Berlin, Tanztheatre Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Vim Vigor Dance, and Gallim Dance. While based in New York City, Lucia performed with artists Alison Clancy, Michelle Thompson Ulerich, the Headlights Theater Collective, Tina Diaz, and Caitlin Javech. As a choreographer, Lucia has been commissioned to present work at Arts on Site, Dixon Place, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, as well as for the NW Dance Project’s In Good Company shows. Lucia joined NW Dance Project in 2023 and danced original roles in new works from Joseph Hernandez, Ihsan Rustem, Bryan Arias, Sarah Slipper, Serge Bennathan, Carla Mann, Nicole von Arx, and Gustavo Ramírez Sansano. Lucia is thrilled to be joining VALLETO and all the incredible artists involved.
Elisa Meyer

Elisa is excited to join VALLETO for their upcoming season! She’s a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Brooklyn. Elisa studied dance and cognitive science at Northwestern University where she became passionate about the intersection of movement and the mind. That passion led to her starting a free community ballet program in Baltimore, where she taught 60+ children and adults across the city. Throughout her dance career, she’s performed original works by notable choreographers such as Bret Easterling, Vivake Khamsingsavath, Eduardo Vilaro, and Garth Fagan. Her choreography has been featured at Emergence Dance Festival NYC, Small Plates Dance Austin, and more. In addition to VALLETO, Elisa performs with Affekt Dance Co. in NYC.
Isa Segall
(she/they)
Isa Segall (she/they) is a freelance artist based in New York City. Segall received her BFA in dance performance and choreography at Montclair State University. They have had the privilege to perform works by and train under Stefanie Batten Bland, Yusha-Marie Sorzano and Dolly Sfeir among others. Most recently, Isa performed with Stefanie Batten Bland’s company, Company SBB, for Neuehouse NYC’s 10th Anniversary Gala. Prior to this, she starred as “Lucy” in Nevermore Immersive’s Off-Broadway immersive show, “Dreams of Dracula,” which ran in Manhattan this past fall. She’s performed in many festivals throughout New York City, including Westfest, UNkempt and WaxWorks. They are so excited and grateful to be joining VALLETO this season!
Gracen Nelson
(she/her)
Gracen Nelson (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, and teacher, originally from Charleston, SC. Gracen began dancing at age 3 and trained in various styles at her home studio, Just Dance/Charleston Dance Center. While pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree, Gracen assumed the role of Assistant Director for Just Dance and began teaching and setting work at studios throughout the United States and Mexico. She taught on faculty and formerly assisted at Intrigue Dance Convention, where she further developed her choreographic voice. Gracen has received numerous choreography awards throughout the years and was named 2020 Choreographer of the Year at Intrigue. Since her first convention assistant position in 2014, Gracen has continued to assist leading choreographers. Most recently she worked with Ali Pfleger on her works for the Peridance Certificate Program and CLI Conservatory. Gracen has performed in several evening-length shows and in 2020, she had her film debut in HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones 2”. A few years later, she performed in and produced a short film in collaboration with Hannah Mayfield which was selected to show at the 2023 Rethink Dance Film Festival. Upon relocating to NYC, Gracen has engaged in project-based work with Selah Dance Collective and is currently contracted with contemporary companies including Petra Zanki Dance Company, VALLETO, and BodyStories: Theresa Fellion Dance.

Katie LeHoty (she/her) is a dance artist currently residing in New York. Her artistry aims to explore the synergistic qualities of collaboration and human connection while prioritizing urgent physicality and rigor. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in dance and BA in environmental studies. Katie has performed works by Sidra Bell, Bill T. Jones, Chanel DaSilva, Tito del Saz, Calleb Tiecher, Jennifer Archiblad, and Jon Bond. Katie is a passionate environmentalist and explores the intersection of art and the natural world, bringing awareness to our local environmental landscape.
