Jamie Kleinschnitz

DANCER (US)

Jamie is a 23 year old freelance dancer based in NYC. Originally from Long Island, NY, Jamie grew up training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, and modern.

She went on to attend Adelphi University as a dance major and psychology minor, furthering her interest and knowledge of the body and mind. Jamie studied abroad for one term at the London Contemporary Dance School in the UK, and graduated with a BFA in Dance in May 2019. Additionally, she spent three months training in Los Angeles with Erica Sobol’s, The Gypsy Project, where she worked intimately with Medhi Walerski, Jiri Pokorny, Jermaine Spivey, David Harvey, and Tilman O’Donnell.
 

Jamie has performed works by renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Azure Barton, Alexander Ekman, Paul Taylor, Manuel Vignoulle, Alice Klock, Florian Lochner, and William Briscoe, among others.

She is currently a performing artist with several companies including Mathew James’ Urban / Tribe, John Zullo’s Zullo/Raw Movement, Emily Greenwell’s Cloude.nyc, and Rudy Abreu’s RAdiance. Jamie is thrilled to work collaboratively with Valeria and the dancers of VALLETO’s Virtual Season, as we continue to create art during these times.
