A native of Barcelona, Spain, Tania, began her training in dance in 1996 at the Escola de Dansa Mado. At the age of 6, she became a student at the Royal Academy of Dance. At the age of 11, she had the great privilege of putting her training to the test when she joined a young dance company called Jove Ballet de Catalunya. Just three years later, she became a member of It Has To Be On Stage, a hip-hop dance company, in Mataro, Spain. Ms. Palomeque moved to New York City where she graduated in May 2014 from the Scholarship Program at The Ailey School, in affiliation with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
She also had the opportunity to attend different summer programs such as Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts in Connecticut on scholarship, ArchCore40 Summer Performance and Development Intensive with Jennifer Archibald in New York, and Rubberbandance under the direction of Victor Quijada and Anne Plamondon in Quebec, Canada. She was a dancer for Valleto Dance Company and now she’s currently dancing for SD|Prism Dance Theatre. Tania Palomeque is also a photographer that shares art through the beauty of photography with her company, TPPHOTOGRAPHY. She's currently a photographer for the producer, artistic director, choreographer, teacher and coach Sonia R. Dawkins. She also captures images of rehearsals and shows for several dance companies such as VALLETO, Dardo Galleto Dance and more.
